Belrus was one of the largest information-search catalogues in Belarus. It was created in 1998. Firstly the site was created as information-search catalogue for Byelorussian sites. But afterwards the service of free counter and ratings on the basis of this counter were added. With the growing popularity of the catalogue, the amount of the registered resources has grown up to several hundreds a day and not only of Byelorussian sites. Great quantity of Russian sites from Russia and from other countries is registered in the catalogue.
The site is experiencing practically completely independent life with minimal humane participation owning the well adjusted system of administrating and control.
When developing the site, standard and traditional technologies were used. The usage of them gives considerable advantages when modernizing and exploiting the site.
Today Belrus is temporarily closed.
